This website is a creative and philosophical writing exercise I began as a supplement to my journaling habit. Through the fictitious Johanna and Starfárfas I will outline my struggles to understand existence, identity, and meaning altogether.
The relevance of philosophy, existential thinking, and epistemology is entirely dependent on one's values. This is self-evident to me, and that self-evidence is revealed through my writing. I believe these topics are fascinating and have worth in their fascination. There may be no practical applications for my philosophy, and neither are there such applications for my music, my journals, nor my sketches. Philosophy is creative like art and deductive like logic. Philosophy of existence may always struggle and toil but never was a conclusion feasible. Existential thinking is futile but not useless. For me personally, studying philosophy is for my own amusement. I shall surprise myself.
Although in earnest I detail my thinking, still it is partly a parody of those horribly written philosophy texts which may only be rougly understood upon a hundred recitations, although I realize at face value my text and those texts are the same, and then perhaps they are actually the same, so I would be contributing to the problem—or, happily, continuing the tradition.
